The third Women’s Twenty20 International (T20I) between England and India was a closely fought contest. England, after a blazing start from their openers, were eventually restricted to 171/9. In response, the Indian openers also gave the visitors a rapid start. However, regular fall of wickets and disciplined bowling by the English pacers held India to 166/5 in their 20 overs, resulting in a narrow 5-run defeat in Kennington Oval, London.

The next match is scheduled for July 9, 2025. With a few days break between games, the Indian team has been seen putting in the hard yards as they aim to clinch their first series win in England.
In between the grind, BCCI Women on X (previously Twitter) posted a video of Team India visiting the High Commission of India to the United Kingdom in London. The squad and the support staff were invited by the Honourable High Commissioner, Mr. Vikram Doraiswami, for dinner at the High Commission.
In the video, the Honourable High Commissioner is seen warmly welcoming the squad at India House. He commented, “You have magic with you, and you share it with us every day you play on the field, for which we (Indians) are very grateful.” He can also be heard saying that the players inspire younger generations, showing that with discipline and hard work, they too can reach the highest level.
Later, Team India Head Coach Amol Muzumdar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the High Commission of India in the United Kingdom for graciously hosting the squad for the evening. He also extended his thanks, on behalf of the team, to the supporters who turned up in large numbers.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, on behalf of Team India, presented a signed jersey to the Honourable High Commissioner, Mr. Vikram Doraiswami, as a gesture of appreciation.
India will face the hosts on July 9, 2025, in the fourth match of the five-match T20 International series at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
With the series finely poised 2-1, both teams have plenty to play for. India is chasing a historic first-ever T20I series win against England, while the hosts aim to level the series 2-2 despite the absence of their captain and all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt.
