The Asia Qualifier is a cornerstone event in the ICC’s commitment to expanding the reach and quality of women’s cricket. History:

The inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier took place in the year 2018/19, when Thailand were crowned champions on home soil. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has since clinched the titles in the previous two editions of the tournament in 2021/22 on home soil, and in 2023 in Malaysia.

Format:

A total of nine teams, divided into three groups, will compete in the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2025. The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with the table-toppers from each group advancing to the Super 3 stage. In the Super 3, the three teams will face each other twice, and the top two seeded teams from the tournament will advance to the Global Qualifier.
