Post the 37th edition of the Women’s Super50 Cup, it is now time for the Women’s T20 Blaze, scheduled from the 1st to the 11 of May in St Vincent, as announced by the West Indies Cricket. With the ever-evolving world of women’s cricket, this tournament will represent and feature the finest talents of the region across 16 matches.

Six regional teams – Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, and hosts Windward Islands are set to compete in round-robin format in the upcoming tournament during the preliminary stage.
Women’s T20 Blaze has seen various champions over the years. Jamaica emerged as the Women’s T20 Blaze champions’ last season. This team has been the most successful in the tournament’s history, having clinched their fourth title in the 2024 edition.
They surpassed Barbados, who have won 3 titles. Jamaica showcased a dominant performance winning all the matches in the group, with Rashada Williams leading the batting charts with 183 runs. Guyana secured the second position with three wins, with Plaffiana Millington finishing as the leading wicket taker (11) in the tournament.

Format:
Each team will face every other side once, with the competition designed to reward performance through a structured points system: six points are awarded for a win, three points for a no result, and no points for a loss. At the end of the stage, two teams with the highest tally will advance to the finals.
